According to Niagara College's EDI Glossary, Anti-Racism:
... involves actively engaging in identifying and addressing racism by altering institutions, organizational structures, rules, practices, and attitudes to equitably redistribute and share power. This process works to eliminate the structures and actions that perpetuate systemic racism; patterns of behaviours, structures or policies that are exclusionary and disadvantage Indigenous, Black, and people of colour . Learning, unlearning, and relearning are all necessary components of anti-racism practice. Understanding the effects of racism, becoming aware of our own privilege, and considering how each of us might unintentionally support systemic racism are a few examples of what this could entail.
