Your privacy is important to Niagara College Libraries and Learning Commons. The statement below outlines the reason why we collect certain information, our analysis of the information, and how we keep your anonymity.

All your personal information, information requests, feedback, and survey information is protected under FIPPA, the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. Niagara College Libraries and Learning Commons will not disclose personal user data to any third party that would identify you, except to fulfill a service request or as required by law. In the case of a privacy breach of user data, you will be notified immediately via your student or staff email.

We use data gathered by Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to ensure our web design meets the needs of our users. Please note your IP address may identify you due to the naming standards of your internet service provider.

Specifically:

 • search terms used

 • how many and which pages you visit on our site

 • what page you are on when you decided to leave the site
