As COVID-19 closures and policies come to an end, and with the increase of student presence in the libraries it is time to reconsider our food policy. If we choose to monitor/police a “no food in the library stance” then we will have to be consistent in signage and staff vigilance. If we choose to allow food and are approached about our policy then we could request that: “food be kept to a minimum, that is contained to the area where the student is sitting and that all refuse be disposed in garbage”.
