Borrowing Library Items

Your student ID card is your library card.

You can borrow up to 10 items from the Library at one time; this includes any combination of books, equipment (e.g, phone chargers and laptops), etc.

Books are loaned out for 3 weeks and can be renewed one time. Late materials are subject to fees.

Get Books from Public Libraries

The Libraries in Niagara Cooperative (LiNC)

ncLibraries has partnered with several local public libraries (Pelham, Fort Erie, Lincoln, Niagara-on-the-Lake, and Thorold) so our users can request books from any participating location and have them shipped to the most convenient location.

Search the Libraries in Niagara Cooperative for books, movies, music and more.

How to Place a Hold

Holds can be placed on items in the catalog that are owned by Niagara College Libraries.

Some items, such as reserves and reference items, cannot be placed on hold.  The system will indicate whether a hold was successfully placed on an item or not.

NOTE: If you are looking for an item not found in the catalog or an item that is blocked from being put on hold, the library may be able to obtain the item from a non-Niagara College Library via interlibrary loan.  Use this form to submit a request.

To place a hold, see the instructions below:
