Borrowing Library Items

Your student ID card is your library card.

You can borrow up to 10 items from the Library at one time; this includes any combination of books, equipment (e.g, phone chargers and laptops), etc.

Books are loaned out for 3 weeks and can be renewed one time. Late materials are subject to fees.

How to Place a Hold

Requests for items can be placed on items in the catalogue that are owned by ncLibraries and Learning Commons. Some items, such as reserves or equipment, cannot be placed on request. The system will indicate whether a request was successfully placed on an item or not.

If you would like to book equipment in advance, we ask that you request the date and time you need the equipment by completing the required form.

NOTE: If you are looking for an item not found in the catalogue or an item that is blocked from being requested, the library may be able to obtain the item from a non-Niagara College Library via interlibrary loan. To submit a request, click here

STEP 1: Please visit the Page 1+ homepage; then Sign-In using Option #1 -- Niagara College Staff and Students; Search for a title or book

STEP 2: After locating the item, click on the Title to open the Full Record

STEP 3: Look for Get It, and then click on Request

STEP 4: Follow the prompts in the dialog box to place your request on that specific item. *Remember to click "Send Request"*
