Collection Overview
The Libraries and Learning Commons has a robust online collection that consists of eBooks, journal databases, and streaming videos, all of which are available for students to use on or off campus, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (most titles can be viewed by simultaneous users). Titles can easily be linked to in Blackboard for use in the classroom.
Library subject specialists are available to help you find these resources and answer any questions that you might have about them. Look for your liaison's contact information in your program's customizable Subject Guide.

This multidisciplinary collection covers topics across programs and fields of study offered in Community Colleges as well as key subject areas such as the Humanities and Social Sciences, Business, Science & Technology, and Literary Criticism. Content varies from introductory to higher-level to meet students' needs as they develop in their areas of study. Terms of Use
Collection of several thousand full-text electronic books on a variety of topics. (Only one user per book at a time.)

Criterion on Demand provides access to over 2,000 feature films and documentary titles for educational use from a wide variety of major producers including, Paramount Pictures, Warner Bothers, Alliance Films, Entertainment One, Mongrel Media, and many more! Curio.ca gives teachers and students streaming access to the best in educational video and audio from CBC and Radio-Canada. You'll find documentaries from television and radio, news reports and more — all available with a single subscription!
Films on Demand provides faculty and students instant access to thousands of programs neatly grouped into convenient subject-specific categories. The Libraries and Learning Commons' subscription includes the following collections: Master Academic Collection - which includes Humanities & Social Sciences, Science & Mathematics, Business & Economics, and Health & Medicine Collections; Master Career & Technical Education Collection - which includes Career & Job Search, Technical Education, Family & Consumer Sciences, and Guidance and Counseling Collections; Archival Films & Newsreels Video Collection - which includes the Prelinger Archives, the WPA Film Library, the United Newsreel collection, the Universal Newsreel collection, and recordings from the National Archives and Records Administration. The Libraries and Learning Commons Digital Collections is a part of Alma Digital Collections (Alma D), a collaborative initiative aimed at creating access to unique digital content. It enables storage, preservation, and retrieval of digital objects including faculty and student research, G.I.S. projects, archival material, and multimedia across participating departments. The Digital Collections are an on-going project, and new objects are added regularly. We encourage our users to explore and see what's new!
